"A Starry Night" Ball
Ball table cards
Phoebe, a friend of mine was organizing a ball with the theme “A Starry Night”. She needed a way for guests to know which table they were seated at, and to identify said table. We came up with these table cards- the named ones hung near the entrance, while the numbered cards sat on their respective tables. Phoebe also wanted them to fit the aesthetic and theme of the ball, so we chose a dark blue starry overlay and a classy, gold-colored script font. When we printed them out, we printed them out on classy bamboo paper, and Phoebe was very happy with the result after it was done.

The Carpet Specialists
Business Cards
Graeme is a carpet layer and repairer. At the time he was trading under the name ‘I Fix Carpet’, but felt that it didn’t accurately represent his full skill set or experience level. The design of this card was to illustrate a more professional image. By using an overlay of a house floor plan, we illustrate a competent, professional image to potential clients.

Nature's Sweet
Product Packaging
Nature's Sweet is a New Zealand based brand of imported 100% natural sugar alternatives. They needed a new label design that was more visually appealing, and that portrayed a more natural image. They also needed a way to differentiate their organic products from their other products. We created this layout and applied the template to all of their products. To separate the organic products visually, we added the craft paper texture in the background as seen in this example.

Bay Beds
Thank you card
Bay Beds is Hawkes Bays only custom bed manufacturer. Being a small company and priding themselves on excellent customer service, they wanted a way to show their customers how much they mean to them after they made a purchase from Bay Beds. The look of the card had to be consistent with their established brand image, using a specific green colour, font and distressed look to the front of the card. The photo on the back I took out the back of the factory, offering a little sneak peek into how the beds are made, as well as showing off the hard-working team.

Bay Beds
Posters
Michael wanted to make the Bay Beds ethos and work ethic visible, both as a reminder to employees and to show customers the dedication they all had to crafting a quality product for them. We created these posters in the Bay Beds green and with the Bay Beds weathered look to them, and printed them on Durapaper, to avoid the posters ripping at all or looking worn over time.

"Bugatti- The EB110 Story"
Booklet Design
While I was studying Graphic Design at EIT, one of the projects was to create a booklet that tells a story of our choosing. I focused on a car often forgotten by the history books, the Bugatti EB110 which infamously almost sunk the company for the second time, while also achieving the status of the fastest road car in the world for a time. Creating the layout, It was important to have a good balance of images and text so that people could read through without becoming disoriented or overwhelmed by information, but also are given the context required to understand what they were looking at. This principle is something that informs my design choices right down to this day.

Sebastian, Grace & Hill
Product Packaging
Sebastian, Grace & Hill is a Hawkes Bay berry supplier who approached me to create a compelling label for their raspberry packaging. The goal of the label was to stand out on the shelf, and after doing some market analysis we came up with the heart-shaped design, on a rustic background. I was also able to secure a well-priced printing run with a local printing press, which was ready for print in time for the new season.
